The Fairy Penguin


The cute Fairy Penguin is a cool bird. They are 16 inches tall. The Fairy Penguin has a very sharp beak. The Fairy Penguin is blue, white, and black. The little Penguin short stiff feathers are kept water proof by preening in oil. The Fairy Penguin has 3 name, one The Little Penguin, and The Fairy Penguin, and The Little Blue Penguin. The Little Blue Penguin’s scientific name is “Good Little Driver”.

The Little Penguin is found in the Southern Australia, Victoria, and New Zealand, and almost anywhere in the Southern Hemisphere. It usually stays on land but sometimes it goes under water. The Good Little Diver works and plays in the water but on land it lays eggs and sleeps on land “oh” and to lay it’s eggs it digs a hole and sits and lays it’s eggs.

The Fairy Penguin usually stays on land but for food it goes under water and it eats krill, small fish, and squid. They eat their fish whole. To get its food it swims up and opens its mouth and gets it. If it gets to hungry they will make funny noises.

The Fairy Penguin lays 2 eggs are 55x42 mm and white it takes 36 day. It can protect its self only it swims away. Once they hatch the mom takes care of them for 3 years.

Once they are taken care of for 3 years the baby Fairy Penguins are then forced from their nest. The babies weigh 1kg man that is not a lot. They have a hole in their bottom which is where they lay their eggs. They make their nest out of rocks, and sticks.
